The Repsol Guide has revealed its new soletes (a distinction born in 2021 to recognize the work of more informal establishments) for this fall. In total, more than 350 have been distributed throughout Spain, with Catalonia being one of the most awarded communities.
50 new Soletes are located in the center of Catalan cities: 30 in Barcelona, 6 in Girona, 5 in Lleida, 2 in Reus and 7 in Tarragona. In this way, Catalunya now has a total of 371 in different categories.
If in Barcelona the new Soletes have ended up in the hands of cocktail bars like Paradiso or Dead End Paradise, taquerias like Xuba or Tlaxcal, and even historic establishments like Flash Flash; In Girona new openings such as Rocambolesc Bikineria have achieved this distinction.
The selection also includes the center of all provincial capitals and cities such as Santiago de Compostela, Cartagena or Gijón. Neighborhoods such as Chamberí in Madrid or Raval have also come to the fore in this new edition.
Let us remember that this informal distinction from the Repsol Guide aims to help you choose places to have breakfast, lunch or a drink in areas where it is often difficult to get it right, due to the breadth of the offer and because it is constantly in flux.
"There is always a perfect place depending on the moment: for coffee and a mid-morning snack, for vermouth, to turn a work lunch into an enjoyment or for an informal snack before the most sophisticated cocktail. The Soletes have that versatility, That is why they are succeeding in such a transversal way,” explains María Ritter, director of Guía Repsol.
The eighth edition of Soletes will be presented today in Santander, a city that this weekend will also host the Santander Foodie gastronomic event. With this latest delivery, there are now almost 3,600 establishments that have the Solete Guía Repsol sticker on their door.
