The Rambo of Requena: a ghost armed by the mountains of Valencia

In the first months of 2020, a thief armed with a shotgun kept the villages and districts of the rural regions of the province of Valencia in suspense. Due to his paramilitary clothing and his ability to hide in the mountains, he was known as El Rambo de Requena.

This Rambo occupied isolated houses, generally temporarily uninhabited second homes, emptied the refrigerators, used the showers and bedrooms of the houses and tried to avoid any contact with the inhabitants, except when he needed to move. Then, he stole cars at gunpoint.

The Civil Guard organized an ambitious deployment to locate and arrest him. Drones and even a helicopter were used to try to find him, fearing that the bandit's activity would increase.

The state of alarm decreed by the Government in the face of the pandemic caused by the covid-19 virus made the search for the fugitive even more difficult.

All the rivers of passion flow into the black chronicle: desire, greed, jealousy, anger, hatred, love, greed, ambition... There are no stories only of good and bad. There are stories full of nuances, half-truths, strengths and weaknesses, innocence and cruelty.
