The announced presence of the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, at the institutional acts of May 2 to which the Community of Madrid has not invited him will mark this festivity of the people of Madrid and has encouraged, in its previous meeting, a crossroads of reproaches between the Government and the PP.
Thus, the Minister for Territorial Policy and Government spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez, has affirmed that the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, is turning the party into "a political fight".
From Puertollano (Ciudad Real), the city of which she was mayor during the first two years of this legislature, Rodríguez has assured that the national government "will be represented because the Government of Spain also represents all the people of Madrid and with an institutional character we are going to participate in that act."
In this regard, the general secretary of the PP in Madrid, Alfonso Serrano, has insisted that Bolaños is not invited and has censured that he tries to "seek to be news" in the "permanent campaign" of the Government "to harass and attack" the Community from Madrid.
In statements to the media on a visit to Alcobendas, Serrano explained that the invitation from the Ayuso Executive to the Government was addressed precisely to Rodríguez, who declined to attend, and to the Defense Minister, Margarita Robles, who will attend.
According to Serrano, the presence of Robles is "an honor" because "when he has been asked for something from Madrid he has responded", but that of Bolaños was not, who, he has reiterated, is not invited, so "there is no controversy ". "I have been taught that when you are not invited to a place you do not have to go," Serrano stressed, adding that "Mr. Bolaños is campaigning, as are the Government delegate and all the Government ministers de Sánchez, who are in a permanent campaign of harassment and attacks against the people of Madrid".
In this line, he has accused the minister of being "responsible for encouraging demonstrations against President Isabel Díaz Ayuso, precisely on Madrid's Day and at the headquarters of the Community of Madrid", in relation to the concentration called in the near Puerta del Sol by residents of San Fernando de Henares affected by Metro line 7B. "In Sol we expect many people from Madrid who want to celebrate May 2 and institutional acts, and the people who have been invited by protocol," he insisted.
