The parents of the baby hospitalized in Marbella with a broken femur and testing positive for cocaine are arrested

A two-month-old baby was admitted to the Marbella hospital in Malaga on Saturday with a broken femur and testing positive for cocaine, which set off alarm bells among medical personnel who did not hesitate to activate the relevant protocol in these cases. Now, the National Police have arrested her parents, aged 24 and 19, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of ill-treatment.

The investigation, carried out by agents attached to the Local Judicial Police Brigade of the Estepona Police Station, where the detainees reside, led to the arrest of the minor's parents in relation to the events and their subsequent transfer to police stations.

The parents were made available to Estepona Investigating Court number 3, having decreed for both detainees, as a precautionary measure, the suspension of parental authority.

The baby, a young infant, is out of danger, although he remains in the hospital. The competent social services were informed of the facts.
