The Municipal Hospital of Badalona (Barcelonès Nord) (HMB) was awarded this Tuesday in the XXIV TOP 20 Hospital Awards, in the Respiratory System Area category, in which it was also a finalist in the area of Global Hospital Management.
As explained by Badalona Serveis Assistencials (BSA), the public company in charge of the hospital, the health center has received recognition in the awards of the IQVIA company, in an event held in Madrid.
The TOP 20 awards have registered a record participation this year, since a total of 185 hospitals - of which 30 are Catalan - have participated, of which 57% were public and the remaining 43% were private.
The HMB competed in the Respiratory System Area category within the group of health centers without thoracic surgery, while in the Global Hospital Management category it competed as a medium general hospital.
For the manager of BSA, Pilar Otermin, who has collected the award, "this award is a recognition of the dedication of many professionals and the necessary process of continuous improvement to offer close, high-quality care, taking into account the patient as the main axis ".
The objective of the TOP 20 Hospital Awards is to recognize good practices in the sector and for participants to obtain a useful comparative evaluation for improving results based on quality, operation and efficiency indicators.
