Last Saturday, February 17, the Mossos d'Esquadra detected a drone that flew over the El Puig de les Basses de Figuere prison (Girona) for a few minutes.
The agents detected how the device was first placed above the parking lot right at the entrance to the prison and moved towards the center. According to the digital El Caso, the events occurred around ten at night.
As soon as they realized it, the Mossos began monitoring with the security cameras to check the drone's route and ensure that no launch was made to introduce objects such as mobile phones or drugs into the premises.
The agents certified that nothing was brought into the jail and that it was a drone for recreational use.
A few minutes later the plane disappeared and the Mossos tried to locate the pilot but were unable to do so.
The next morning, with daylight, the agents carried out the pertinent checks again, but neither the device nor the pilot was located.
