The Government of Italy has granted a state funeral with military honors for the former Italian prime minister and magnate, Silvio Berlusconi. The day was held this afternoon at the Duomo in Milan, the cathedral of the hometown of Il cavaliere.
The mass officiated by the Archbishop of Milan has brought together the country's political and economic authorities. Among them, the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella, and the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni. International figures such as the Hungarian President, Viktor Orbán, or the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad al Zhan, have also attended. A multitude of followers have gathered outside the Duomo who have been able to observe the mass through large screens.
