The keys to the Morata de Tajuña case: everything we know about the triple crime and the love scam

The triple murder of Morata de Tajuña still has many unknowns to reveal. Just a week ago, the bodies of the three Ángeles siblings, Amelia and José Gutiérrez Ayuso, between 71 and 79 years old, were found. Since then, many keys to the terrible event have been revealed, but gaps remain open.

The perpetrator of the crime Dilawar Hussain Choudhary has been sleeping since yesterday in the Estremera prison in Madrid, after spending a week in the Civil Guard facilities to take statements from him, search his house and that of the deceased and investigate if he had help regarding the possible existence of more involved.

The alarms went off last Thursday, January 18, when the police found three bodies with signs of violence inside a house in the municipality of Morata de Tajuña and transferred them to the Forensic Anatomical Center to proceed with autopsies, which are still pending. conclude. The neighbors alert the mayor of the municipality that they had not seen the Gutiérrez Ayuso brothers for a long time and it is feared that something has happened to them. The local police with a judicial authorization access the house and discover the bodies piled up at the entrance of the house.

The next day the autopsies begin and a visual inspection is carried out in the house of the three deceased. A gun is found, so everything indicates that it was a crime, but it seems that the killings were with blows.

The weekend passes without any news, until on Monday the homicide group arrests a man who had voluntarily surrendered at the Arganda command, acknowledging his participation in the events related to the triple homicide that occurred in the Madrid municipality.

This is Dilawar Husssain Choudhary, a 43-year-old Pakistani man, but with Spanish nationality. The detainee acknowledges responsibility for the events. He even goes further and admits that the deaths are caused by hitting them with a "blunt and elongated" object, which could be a bar.

The crux of the matter is that this man, owner of a phone shop in Arganda, had lived in the house, since they had rented a room for him and he knew the family. He had lent about 60,000 euros to the sisters for a love scam with the US military and they did not return his debts. From the beginning of the investigation, the hypothesis that has been considered is that it is a settling of accounts.

The two sisters spoke online with these supposed boyfriends, although the reality is that it is a love scam. They were left without their savings, then without their pensions and lately they were asking acquaintances for money to send it.

According to sources familiar with the events, the sisters went to Choudhary's parlor in Arganda del Rey to send money. There they met him and forged a friendship. To such an extent that the man sold his business to lend them money with the promise that they would return double.

In January of last year, the detainee had an altercation with Amelia and ended up in jail for hitting her three times with a hammer and kicking her. In September, he was released from prison after reaching a plea deal. Investigators suspect that he then returned to the house to claim the money from him. Hence, he entered the house without forcing the door or anything, when he committed the crime.

The police are calling the investigation "operation ordeal" because it is quite convoluted. His identity coincides from the first moment with that of the main suspect handled by the agents of the homicide group, since there was a history of injuries to one of the victims last year. However, expert reports continue to be made to see if he had any collaborators because, for example, the beating weapon has not appeared.

After conducting a police search at his house, the police transferred him to judicial offices on Wednesday. The head of court number 5 of Arganda del Rey conducted an interrogation and issued the sentence in which he was sent to prison.

His lawyer, Natalia Checa, has requested his release because she argues that there is no risk of flight since he has been residing in Spain for 25 years and because he needs to send money to his family. The judge does not accept this proposal because she can escape and also Pakistan does not have a judicial cooperation agreement with Spain.

The judge's order reveals that the crime was committed on December 17 of last year, so the bodies were in a state of decomposition, since a month and a day had passed until the bodies were found. The investigation remains open.
