The Film Academy creates an Equality Commission and another for activities

The Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences has announced the creation of an Equality Commission for, as highlighted by the second vice president and actress Susi Sánchez: "That reality changes and there is effective equality between women and men". In this sense, the Academy will organize a Summer Campus focused on these issues and will be held from June 3 to 7 in Valencia.

A new Activities Committee has also been announced that will focus on activating and monitoring initiatives and activities in Barcelona, ​​where the academy has a delegation. The organization, which brings together more than 1,900 professional members from different specialties in the film industry, has decided to create the commissions during the first meeting after the election of the new presidency. At the beginning of June, the board of directors elected the director Fernando Méndez-Leite as successor to Mariano Barroso.

The one chosen to head the Equality Commission is actress Susi Sánchez, who will be joined by six members of the board of directors: producers Carlo D'Ursi and María Luisa Gutiérrez, screenwriter Virginia Yagüe, costume designer Pepe Reyes , the actress Amparo Climent and the director Javier Balaguer

The institution has indicated that the Activities Commission in Barcelona is made up of the producers Valérie Delpierre and Tono Folguera, the production director Josep Amorós, the editor Teresa Font and the director of photography Josep María Civit.
