The elPetit festival presents the best international programming for early childhood

The elPetit children's festival returns this 2022 with the best programming designed, in the first instance, to satisfy the main public: boys and girls between 0 and 5 years old. The different shows offer scenic disciplines such as dance, theater, circus and music, which can be enjoyed with the family from November 12 to 27.

The objective of the festival is clear, stated its co-director Eulàlia Ribera: "art is a fundamental right for children and their families". For this reason, 24 artistic proposals will try to enhance the imagination, creativity and learning of early childhood with diverse disciplines and themes.

The program also includes special activities aimed at parents and education professionals. For example, a Hawaiian dance workshop for pregnant women will be organized on November 19 and 21. On the other hand, the Mestres que es Mouen initiative will be maintained, a training program to weave bridges between the arts and education, aimed at teachers of nursery schools and early childhood education.

ElPetit, originating from laSala de Sabadell, is the pioneering arts festival for early childhood in Spain. Ribera, has underlined that the initiative has grown to be a benchmark for children's disciplines throughout Europe. The 2022 poster has more than one hundred professionals of up to twenty different nationalities. It will feature guest artists from Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Finland and France.

However, elPetit has not forgotten its origins. That is why the organization also includes, within the best offer of arts for early childhood, companies and initiatives from Catalonia and the rest of the country. The poster features names like Soul

The festival wanted to emphasize its social function with a collaboration with the Unit of Generalist Intervention Programs for Penitentiary Centers of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The initiative aims to bring art closer to the parents of Brians 2 prisoners so that they can share their creations with their children. According to the co-director: "no situation should keep families away from art".

ElPetit returns this year with 26 spaces distributed among 11 Catalan cities, to bring culture closer to the doors of families. The festival will offer its artistic experiences to the little ones between November 12 and 27.
