The educational project A Tempo de Temporada Alta launches a digital platform

In this 6th edition, the A Tempo educational project incorporates a digital training platform for teachers. La Ciutat Invisible y Temporada Alta Foundation, with the support of the Banc de Sabadell Foundation, promote the initiative to bring the arts to schools, and not just during the two months of the theater festival, "including the arts in regular education ”, explains Joaquim Nadal, president of La Ciutat Invisible.

"The activities are carried out during school hours and for free throughout the course, so that no one is excluded," says Salvador Sunyer, director of Temporada Alta, which announces a budget of 108,000 euros.

The digital platform will contain two collections. The first, Artistes a l’aula, is a continuation of what began in confinement, with existing and newly created videos, with artists who will participate in both Temporada Alta and A Tempo. The objective is that they serve as a resource for the classroom, based on creative exercises proposed by the artists.

The second collection, Formació en arts i educació, newly created, is aimed at teachers and artists associated with "materials designed for teachers, on how to use the arts to bring them into the classroom," says Sunyer.

A Tempo, which takes place in the schools and institutes of Girona and Salt, has requests from other municipalities, but so far only one project has been launched in Seville.

In addition to theatrical, dance, cinema, dramaturgy activities in four institutes, etc., this year the educational program also incorporates poetry and the Crea el teu projecte initiative, which will see its first fruits with the 4th grade students ESO of the Institut Salvador Sunyer i Aimeric de Salt, with the advice of the company José y sus Hermanas, on October 21 within High Season.

The festival has also announced the creation of a summer university of the arts, which will be born in July 2023. The details will be known this fall.
