M.S.A., a 67-year-old resident of Batea, in Terra Alta (Tarragona), is the tourist driver who died this Tuesday afternoon after colliding head-on with a truck in the same town, as reported by the Servei Català de Trànsit.
The accident occurred at kilometer 70 of the C-221 and the Mossos d'Esquadra received the notification at 4:37 p.m.
The accident, which occurred for reasons that are being investigated, forced traffic to be cut off in both directions of the march. As a result of the incident, four Mossos d'Esquadra patrols, five Firefighters and two ambulances and the psychological support service of the Medical Emergency System (SEM) were activated.
