After not being held since 2019, Construmat, the fair dedicated to the construction of Fira de Barcelona, ended this Thursday with a forecast of more than 15,000 visitors within hours of its closing.
Four years ago, when it lasted one day longer than this week, reaching four days, there were 54,000 visits from professionals. More exhibitors also gathered.
From the organization it is understood that this Construmat has been the one of the "restart" after a prolonged absence and that it will serve to "lay the foundations" of the future of the fair.
"We are very satisfied with the reception that the sector has once again given Construmat", valued the president of the event, Xavier Vilajoana. With a concept that is more reminiscent of its beginnings, focused on new materials and products, it was possible to see the rise of wooden constructions and prefabricated houses. The focus was placed on sustainability. The opportunity represented by European funds for the rehabilitation of homes was also addressed.
