The castle of Lloret de Mar becomes an immersive space on the climate crisis

The Castell de Lloret will open its doors on April 28, converted into an immersive space where visitors can experience first-hand the effects of climate change.

Eight million euros have been invested in this initiative, a proposal by businessman Gustavo Buesa with the collaboration of television producer Toni Cruz, as creative director. Its promoters expect to receive around 100,000 people each year and estimate that it will generate around 40 direct and indirect jobs.

In the first two rooms, customers, thanks to virtual reality glasses and a mobile platform with sensory effects, unique in Europe, will be able to feel the effects of the climate crisis.

In the last room, through interactive games, they will be able to discover the daily actions that can be carried out to alleviate their consequences. The terrace, which will remain open until after midnight, will be the end point of this immersive experience.

The inauguration of the Castell de Lloret is part of the celebrations of the Capital of Catalan Culture, which the municipality holds throughout this year.

The space wants to become "a point of reference" for visitors to Lloret de Mar and its inhabitants, who will now be able to enjoy an attraction that has always been closed to the public.

Tickets, which cost 19 euros, can already be purchased on the web castelldelloret.com.
