The AMB metropolitan bus service will incorporate 16 vehicles from this Saturday

The Metropolitan Bus service of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB) will incorporate 16 new buses starting this Saturday, the AMB informs in a statement this Tuesday. The 13 lines (CJ, LH1, LH2, PR1, PR2, PR3, M12, M14, L16, L20, L21, L22, X30) will be operated by 100 vehicles, within the framework of the new Metropolitan Bus contract of the AMB.

In the last six months, 19 buses have been added and the AMB plans to acquire 43 more vehicles "approximately at the end of next year." This Saturday, L20 and L21 will come into operation in l'Hospitalet de Llobregat and El Prat de Llobregat, replacing L10 and L11, to differentiate them from the metro lines.

The L20 will maintain the same route as the L10 between El Prat and the Moisès Broggi hospital in Sant Joan Despí and will increase its frequency: on weekdays it will run every 15 minutes and on Saturdays, every 20.

The L21 will extend its route to Sant Just Desvern and Sant Feliu de Llobregat, will run on Saturdays, holidays and weekdays in August and will incorporate a corridor between Bellvitge and the Rodalies de l'Hospitalet station. Line X30 - between Sant Just Desvern and Barcelona - will begin to run every 15 minutes from Monday to Friday and every 20 minutes on Saturdays.
