The adventure of the Quer farmhouse

Lost among the Guilleries mountains, with no road to access by car, is the Quer farmhouse, which belongs to the town of Susqueda, where a reservoir was built in the 60s.

Many houses were submerged and others were abandoned due to the isolation produced by the construction of this swamp, which is currently suffering the effects of drought.

The Quer farmhouse was built in the 18th century more or less and corn and vineyards were grown there, but the most notable thing is an old wine vat or bocoi that dates back to 1779 and is still in more or less good condition.

Getting to the farmhouse today is difficult, since the path that goes down there is complicated, but it is worth it, it is like a time machine that takes you back to the past.

Also near the house is the Morro del Quer, a large rock crag that, with care, can be climbed and contemplate great views from its top, as seen in this report in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos.
