In the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we can contemplate the effect of the solar halo in the Cerler area, in Benasque, produced by the penetration of the sun into the ice crystals.

The solar halo forms around the sun, presenting an iridescent ring on its outer circumference, due to ice crystals when there are high clouds.

The halo is caused by ice particles suspended in the troposphere that refract light, generating a spectrum of colors around the Moon or Sun.

It is an optical effect in the shape of a disk around the sun - or the moon - and has an iridescent ring on its outer circumference.

Cerler is considered the highest town in the Aragonese Pyrenees because it is located at 1,540 meters above sea level, in front of Villarrué (1,534 meters), according to the National Geographic Institute. Given its location, it has a ski resort.
