SIL Barcelona brings together world logistics

After not being able to be held since 2019 due to covid, the International Logistics Exhibition (SIL) returns, which will take place at the Montjuïc fairgrounds in Barcelona from May 31 to June 2. As explained by the organizing entity, the Consorci de la Zona Franca (CZFB), there will be 650 participating companies and some 12,000 professional visitors from 81 different countries are expected.

"Barcelona will be the world capital of logistics", said the special delegate of the State in the CZFB, Pere Navarro, this Wednesday during the presentation of the event. The internationality of the meeting, where up to 100 innovations from the logistics sector will be presented, will be around 30%.

Navarro highlighted the importance of SIL as a "meeting point" for the sector, being "one of the largest fairs in the world and a benchmark in Spain, the Mediterranean, southern Europe and Latin America".

For her part, the general director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué, highlighted that the SIL is the "only show in Europe that represents the entire supply chain". She has also reported that there will be 150 emerging companies and 300 speakers in the congress to promote "knowledge transfer".

In fact, Sorigué has remarked, the "greater participation of the new economy and startups" will be one of the differences of this year's SIL compared to previous editions. Business, knowledge and networking will be the cornerstones of an exhibition that will be inaugurated by the Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez.
