Òscar Fernàndez new mayor of JxCat in Cabrera de Mar.

Òscar Fernández (Cabrera de Mar, 1999) has been proposed and chosen by the Junts local group as the next candidate for mayor in the municipal elections of May 2023 in Cabrera de Mar (Maresme).

The young politician, trained in Law at the UAB, is currently the first deputy mayor and councilor for the Elderly, Youth, Sports, Mobility and Citizen Participation in the consistory. He is also a member of the JNC and the regional executive of his political formation, as well as a large number of cultural and social entities in the municipality.

Fernández is the replacement, as head of the list, of Jordi Mir, current mayor of the town since 2011. According to the mayor: "We are working to present a project for a transversal and fully municipalist town, with a team that will take into account the renewal and the ability to face the challenges that Cabrera asks for".

Fernández also explains that "we have opened a process to listen to the maximum number of voices of the people and to be able to present an inclusive and exciting project, with which we will develop our program and build a cohesive team, which knows the reality of Cabrera and has a great capacity for work. . We will continue to walk the streets, as we are doing on a daily basis”.
