'Save me' will continue on Netflix with a new 'reality'

Today Sálvame has said goodbye forever to his stage on Telecinco. After more than fourteen years being part of the Fuencarral network and accompanying viewers every afternoon, the La Fábrica de la Tele program has celebrated its end with a very special and emotional program.

The farewell to the Telecinco space has become one of the great television events of the year, and both this final episode and its entire career are already part of the history of the small screen. But the community of followers of the format can be in luck, because this is not a goodbye as such, but a see you soon.

A few weeks ago the news broke that the program presented by Jorge Javier Vázquez was going to have a second life on the American giant Netflix. As announced by Lecturas and Roco Steinhäuser in Versió RAC1, the platform was preparing a different format to the current one but with several of the most famous faces of Sálvame.

Belén Esteban, Terelu Campos, Kiko Matamoros, Chelo García Cortés, María Patiño, Kiko Hernández, Lydia Lozano and Víctor Sandoval will be the stars of this new program that was going to take them on a trip through Latin America. But now we have learned thanks to El País that the real purpose of the program is none other than to find new professional projects.

The newspaper has confirmed that this week the production company and the platform have signed an agreement in which all this content has been specified. This reality show will follow each of the protagonists in their particular adventure of finding a job in America. The name that the program will bear is still unknown, but they have confirmed the presence of the eight collaborators.

In addition, the director of this new space will be an old acquaintance for all of them. David Valldeperas, who has been the director of Sálvame for several years, will be in charge of shaping this project. The new Netflix program will continue to have the characteristic tone and humor of its predecessor and will be recorded between Miami and Mexico.
