With the new police station “the strategy of proximity and attention to citizens will be reinforced,” the mayor justified, by having “reference police equipment” so that officers can improve in their daily work and meet the demands of security. public “with avant-garde facilities” in an area in which the Plaza de las Culturas will also be expanded, adjacent to the police equipment. The mayor assured that her goal is for “the Santa Coloma force to be the best metropolitan police force in Spain.”
The new building will have seven floors, three of which are underground, and a surface area of 6,500 m2.
