Rosa Peral sanctioned for granting interviews from prison after the success of Netflix's 'The Body on Fire'

The Department of Justice, Rights and Memory of the Generalitat has sanctioned the former police officer Rosal Peral, convicted along with Albert López for the murder of the Urban Guard agent Pedro R., for making "misuse" of the communications regime grant interviews from prison, and has agreed to restrict the inmate's calls.

Sources from the department have explained to Europa Press that they have made the decision after opening a file against the woman convicted of the crime by the Urban Police after the publication on Netflix of a series and a documentary about the case, and the day before broadcast an interview from prison on Catalunya Ràdio.

The department has insisted that it "guarantees freedom of expression and that of the press, does not limit the right to information or prohibit interviews," and added that it will not try to prevent Wednesday's broadcast, which has already been recorded.
