Polish priest who organized an orgy and denied help to a drugged prostitute arrested

A Polish Catholic priest who organized an orgy and denied help to the prostitute he had hired and who fell ill after taking drugs was accused this Thursday by the prosecutor's office of crimes that carry eight years in prison.

Tomasz Z., whose name is withheld for legal reasons, will face trial for "crimes against sexual freedom and decency", "denial of aid" and for "providing drugs" to a person whose sexual services were contracted to celebrate an orgy in the parish house in Dąbrowa Górnicza (south) in August last year.

The priest, who shortly after the events decided to settle in Turkey for a few weeks to avoid public attention, must remain under arrest for at least the next two months, waiting for the trial to begin.

The events date back to the end of August, when Father Tomasz, parish priest of the sanctuary of the Virgin of the Angels in Dąbrowa Górnicza, organized a party at the parish residence in which several priests and a prostitute participated.

According to police sources, the assistants ingested drugs of various types and the man who was hired to provide sexual services lost consciousness, after which an ambulance went to the home, but once there, the priests prevented the nurses from entering and asked to take them out. themselves to the patient.

Finally, the police arrived at the scene, medical assistance was provided to the unconscious man and the incident received wide coverage in the media, which finally led to the relief of the bishop of the diocese of Sosnowiec (south). , Grzegorz Kaszak.

The investigation carried out by the prosecution is still trying to clarify whether or not the man who lost consciousness due to drug ingestion, and who in the process is considered a victim, was or was not a sex worker and was paid to attend the party or He did it for free.

In statements after the events, Tomasz Z. sent a letter to the media in which he declared that "if something similar had happened to any person, who had a different profession, and not to a clergyman, there would have been no no problem".
