parliamentary decorum

Yesterday, the Parliament of Catalonia experienced a day marked by a certain lack of decorum in the uses and customs of the institution. To begin with, the meeting of the Table, scheduled for nine in the morning, had to be delayed for more than half an hour because the president, who arrived visibly in a hurry due to the lateness, was caught up in the traffic jam caused by the protest of the teachers. The delay of Laura Borràs disrupted the subsequent agenda and the meeting of spokespersons, scheduled for eleven o'clock, was finally held at twelve o'clock. But there were other errors, at least from the point of view of the most classic etiquette, which caught the attention of parliamentarians, officials and journalists. The shorts and espardenyes de vetes, with long laces over the ankle, worn by Dani Cornellà, deputy of the CUP, perhaps responded to the heat of the day, but they disconcerted more than one when they saw him cross the hall of steps lost accompanied by his companion Eulàlia Reguant.
