One of the most active gang of aluniceros falls in Madrid: 40 robberies and 12,000 euros confiscated

A group of seven men between 26 and 48 years old of Spanish nationality have been arrested by the Civil Guard for committing more than 40 robberies with stolen luxury cars in various parts of the Community of Madrid. They made up one of the most active groups of aluniceros in the region, performing an average of five times a night.

They are also being investigated for their possible involvement in the theft of around twenty high-end vehicles during the last quarter, which were subsequently used in robberies, the Madrid Command of the armed institute has reported.

Those arrested have between them nearly 115 records for crimes against property. Among them is the leader of the gang, an old acquaintance of Madrid crime.

The perfectly structured gang committed an average of five robberies per night, thus becoming one of the most active in the region.

They always acted at night, between one and six in the morning, and had a predilection for bars, restaurants and service stations, although their participation in assaults on betting rooms, pharmacies and other types of establishments is also being investigated.

They traveled to these places in previously stolen large displacement vehicles and gained access by forcing the closures with crowbars or breaking the windows with sledgehammers.

The so-called Cerbero Necky operation culminated in the search of seven homes in the towns of Anchuelo and Alcalá de Henares, where the agents arrested those involved and seized 12,000 euros in cash, tools for vehicle theft and effects related to the crimes investigated.

The seven detainees are charged with crimes of belonging to a criminal organization, robbery with force in commercial establishments, theft of motor vehicles and falsification of documents, for which the judicial authority ordered their imprisonment.

The operation has been carried out by the Organized Crime Group of the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police and the Rock Team of the 4th Company of Alcalá de Henares, both belonging to the Madrid Civil Guard Command.
