Nurses protect newborn babies from Taiwan earthquake

Taiwan recently recorded the largest earthquake in recent years. A 7.2 magnitude tremor that shook the island causing serious damage and fatalities. A few days after the disaster, these images appear obtained by the security camera of the Alison obstetrics and gynecology clinic in Taipei, where we can see how nurses protect the babies.

At first, the professionals immobilize the cribs and, fearing that something might happen to the newborns, they decide to cover them with their own bodies. An instinctive reaction that demonstrates the professionalism of these health workers.

The Taiwan earthquake had a magnitude of 7.2 according to the island's Central Meteorological Agency and 7.4 according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake caused at least 12 deaths, 1,106 injuries and multiple damages to public infrastructure and buildings.
