Nogueras offers the ERC bases his promise not to invest a president if there is no referendum

Míriam Nogueras, candidate of Junts per Catalunya in the general elections of July 23, has questioned this Wednesday the militancy of Esquerra Republicana to give her their support in exchange for the commitment not to invest any president of the government who does not transfer powers to organize a referendum on self-determination for Catalonia.

In the debate that was held last night on TV3, Nogueras proposed to the republican candidate, Gabriel Rufián, to assume this commitment among the pro-sovereignty forces, but there was no response in this regard from the ERC leader, who, instead, asked the CUP and JxCat accompaniment when negotiating with the central executive.

In the press conference organized by the Agència Catalana de Notícies, Nogueras has reiterated his proposal to the leadership of Oriol Junqueras, but in the event that his "outstretched hand" has no response, he has transferred his commitment to Republican voters. "If there is no answer or the answer is no, we extend the proposal to the ERC bases and to the ERC voters", he specified.

On the other hand, the post-convergent leader in Madrid has pointed out that "one of the things that has annoyed her the most is hearing the Socialists say that the Catalan vote has never been so cheap." In any case, Nogueras has advocated "raising the speech a lot" and not going to negotiate "with a list of grievances."

"We will not put one or two conditions, we will greatly elevate what has happened up to now, what has happened is that the government on duty is blackmailing. We want to be strong enough so that they stop kidding us and negotiate from nation to nation nation", Nogueras summarized afterwards.

"The minimums are self-determination and amnesty", he has concluded in relation to what must be negotiated, although he has also said that he did not want to put "requirements" in advance.
