The leader of the PPCV and future 'president' of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, has advanced that, foreseeably, next Thursday, July 13, the investiture plenary session will be held that will appoint him head of the Consell, although he has specified that he must be the president of Les Corts, Llanos Massó, who establishes the date.
This was announced this Thursday by the president of the Provincial Council of Alicante in statements to the media after the last ordinary plenary session of the legislature in the provincial institution.
"It seems that the investiture plenary session will be on the 13th," Mazón pointed out before holding a meeting with Massó this afternoon, whom he thanked for calling him for consultation. Massó will be the one who will confirm the date of the plenary session.
Likewise, Mazón has also indicated that, according to his information, "in one day this plenary session could be held in its entirety", although he has insisted that it is something that corresponds to the president of Les Corts to decide.
In this sense, he has advanced that, prior to that plenary session, he will resign as president of the Alicante Provincial Council so as not to incur "any possible cause of incompatibility and, above all, for hygiene and democratic respect."
"I want to do it like this, I do not want to have to submit to a legal report later, nor do I want to accumulate anything. I believe that hygiene and respect, nothing less than an investiture to the Presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana, also deserves a message of institutional respect ", has held.
In this way, he has pointed out that on July 12, in an extraordinary plenary session of the Provincial Council, he will present his resignation as president of the institution and will attend the investiture plenary "as one more deputy".
"With all the pain in my heart, I will say goodbye to this beautiful house a few days before what was perhaps planned," said Mazón, who pointed out "almost with emotion" that this Thursday was his penultimate plenary session in the provincial institution. "I have a very special affection for my province and my Provincial Council. I am not saying this because it belongs to me, but because I belong to it," he pointed out.
Therefore, it will be the first vice president, Ana Serna, who will assume the powers of the Presidency, until the call in the next few days for the new investiture plenary session in the Alicante Provincial Council.
