Marta Cortizas assures that today she has no other vital challenge than “trying to be happy every day without further pretensions.” She points out that “it seems like a small thing, but in reality it is a lot.”
Beyond personal success, he affirms that the most important thing is that the entire team that participated in the Associació Catalana de Sommeliers contest is “wonderful.” He adds that “all of us who compete are a family, and winning is superfluous.” And he has also stated that he receives this recognition with the desire to “value myself and believe in myself more.”
Born 32 years ago in A Coruña, she grew up professionally at the Casa Solla restaurant in Poio (Pontevedra). The honorable mention she received at the Instituto Galego do Vino allowed her to choose where to do her internship for 4 months. She didn't think about it. She chose El Celler de Can Roca.

Cortizas has a WSET level 3 diploma from the Wset School London and just last week he obtained the Master Court of Sommeliers certificate.
