Luis Enrique donates the 30,000 euros he won on Twitch during the World Cup

Former Spanish coach Luis Enrique Martínez has published this Friday a document on social networks in which he certifies the donation of the benefits reaped —30,000 euros— on his Twitch channel during the Qatar 2022 World Cup to the Enriqueta Villavecchia Children's Ontological Foundation.

The Asturian, who gave an interview to the SER chain in Gijón on Wednesday, explained how the benefits are distributed on the platform, and also wanted to thank the "generosity and support" of his subscribers.

"Hello everyone, As I informed you at the time, all the income that was obtained in the streaming sessions that we carried out during the World Cup in Qatar 2022, would go to the Enriqueta Villavecchia Foundation. When you start your streaming channel on Twitch, you sign a standard contract with the platform (in our case 50% for them and 50% for me). I leave you the donation certificate that corresponds to that 50%. Thank you very much for your generosity and support. Cheers", reads the statement that the Asturian has shared on his Twitter account.

The former Spanish coach garnered 7,640 subscribers during the World Cup dispute in which Spain fell in the quarterfinals against Morocco on penalties. Luis Enrique issued a time of 16 hours and 19 minutes and currently, despite the inactivity, he has 829,524 followers.

Luis Enrique lost his 9-year-old daughter Xana to cancer during his first spell as coach. For this reason he left office for a few months and Robert Moreno, his second, took charge of the national team.
