Letizia wears green at the ecological awards ceremony

The Queen began the week by presiding over the Retina Eco awards in Madrid, which recognize the projects most committed to defending the Environment. Letizia has chosen an emerald green Zara dress (with matching earrings), the tone that is identified with environmentalism, to attend the event that took place at the Royal Tapestry Factory in which she was accompanied by the president of the Congress, Francina Armengol and the third vice president of the Government and Minister for the Ecological Transition, acting, Teresa Ribera.

The awards aim to recognize the most outstanding projects for their innovation, impact on sustainability and the fight against climate change, technology and other aspects related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with which the Queen has shown publicly his commitment.

The awarded initiatives on this occasion were: Efficientheating, the recyclable radiant heating system from Aimplas, wins the Efficient Consumption category; IA4BAT, Capital Energy's batteries reused as solar energy storage, win the Green Generation award; The Municipal Transport Company of Madrid (EMT) wins in the Smart Mobility category with a project for the decarbonization of public transport and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners' plan for efficient water management and health improvement in hydraulic basins wins in the Sustainable Ecosystem category. The winning SME in the Sustainability Innovation category was Solar Cover for the installation of a megabattery in the textile company TexAthenea, which allows the energy previously obtained through solar panels to be stored.
