Laprovittola and Abrines wake up Barça in time against MoraBanc Andorra

Argentine Nico Laprovittola, who scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half, woke up a Barça team in time that knew how to recover after the break of a first half in which it was dominated by the newly promoted MoraBanc Andorra (91-87).

Uninhibited, the visiting team initially made use of its energy and exterior success (37-47, half-time) in a performance that was led on the offensive side by Stan Okoye (21 points) and Marin Maric (19).

However, Barça, who lost Joel Parra in the last quarter due to a sprained ankle, increased their physical intensity after the break and gained their aim to complete a hard-fought comeback. Laprovittola lit the fuse, but was supported by Willy Henangómez (15 points), Tomas Satoransky (15), Rokas Jokubaitis (13) and Alex Abrines (10).

Reinforced by the victory last day against Zunder Palencia (87-74), MoraBanc Andorra dominated the first quarter (16-24) against a Barça that was overwhelmed by the energy and success of its opponent.

Despite the significant loss of Tyson Pérez, the team coached by Natxo Lezkano was especially successful in outside shooting (9 of 15 to Barça's 4 of 14 at halftime) and turnovers (3 to 6), two aspects that allowed them to dominate the pace of the match and maintain their lead at halftime (37-47).

Okoye was the visitors' top scorer in the first half with 15 points, while in the Barça team Rokas Jokubaitis and Tomas Satoransky (7) shared the spotlight.

After the break, Barça raised the physical bar one step, toughened the fight for rebounds and closed the gap, driven by 10 points in a row from Hernangómez.

Laprovittola completed the Catalan team's comeback with two triples (59-58, min.29), but MoraBanc resisted at the end of the third quarter led by Maric's score in the paint (62-65).

Between Hernangómez and Laprovittola, the Barça team endured the exchange of blows with MoraBanc Andorra and threatened to open the gap with four points from Jokubaitis (78-76, min.35). However, the visiting team kept up the pace under the direction of Goudelock (78-81, min.37).

Barça found the way to victory from the triple, with four consecutive hits executed by Satoransky, Abrines (2) and Vesely. Despite the efforts of MoraBanc Andorra, which never threw in the towel, the Barça team secured the victory with a free kick from Laprovittola ten seconds from the end (91-87).
