This afternoon Lamine Yamal became the youngest player to debut for the Spanish national team. He did it in the Georgia-Spain in Tbilisi valid for the Euro Cup by replacing Marco Asensio in the 44th minute. The match was already clear for the red team (0-4).
Yamal debuted in the senior team at 16 years and 56 days old. The previous record was held by Gavi, also from Barcelona, at 17 years and 62 days.
