Lady Cadet Borbón, along with her second-year classmates, began a new period of maneuvers on March 11 at the San Gregorio National Training Center, annexed to the grounds of the General Military Academy of Zaragoza. As future lieutenants in the Army, last week's training program in the Aragonese capital is designed to improve the skills necessary to command small military units and perfect their preparation to lead the platoon.

The program includes topography activities, for which they carry out tours guided by maps of the maneuver area both in daytime and nighttime environments; combat training exercises in urbanized areas in a town recreated on the maneuver field; shooting practice; and tasks aimed at strengthening their physical capacity and resistance to fatigue.

After his visit to the AGM, King Felipe VI enjoyed a ski weekend in the Aragonese resort of Formigal-Panticosa, where the slopes are at their best of the season thanks to recent snowfall.

Saturday's day included a brief meeting with the president of the community, Jorge Azcón, who greeted him and wished him a good stay, and a meal at La Glera, a restaurant located at 2,000 meters above sea level in a small, exclusive cabin with capacity for 18 people specialized in grilled meats. The field is also known for being one of the Army grounds where Ukrainian recruits have trained at the end of 2022. It was a five-week training during which they received theoretical training and combat, shooting, urban combat and first aid instruction. .

The second course of his military training will take place at the Marín Naval School (Pontevedra), where he will board the training ship Juan Sebastián Elcano, just as his father did when he was his age. The third and last year of the military course will take place at the Military Air School in San Javier (Murcia). When she finishes, Leonor will have obtained the rank of lieutenant in the Army and Air Force and second lieutenant in the Navy.
