Infoca firefighters fight against a declared forest fire in Dúrcal

Infoca firefighters fight against a declared forest fire in Dúrcal

The Infoca Plan firefighters are struggling to fight a new forest fire declared in the Granada town of Dúrcal, in the Lecrín Valley, where winds of 15 km per hour are blowing and in which the relative humidity rises to 15%.

At the moment, the work is carried out by air and land, and there are two light, two medium-heavy and two heavy helicopters; four cargo planes on the ground and one coordination plane; three pumper trucks and one more from the Analysis Unit. The means have had to be reinforced given the complexity of the situation.

This has been pointed out by Infoca on its social networks, consulted by this newspaper, in relation to this fire, which is active and occurs in a forest area at an altitude of about 1,690 meters.

By land, a Reinforcement Brigade against Fires from the Autonomous Community is acting, together with five groups of forest firefighters, two operations technicians and four environmental agents, who work with three fire trucks and an analysis unit, having also joined the the Regional Command Group is operational.
