The corner of Amnistía Street and Independencia Street in Madrid has become fashionable. In the midst of the investiture process, many tourists and citizens of the capital stop and look at this crossroads, very close to the Teatro Real.
In reality, these streets allude to the War of Independence against the French and the amnesty for the exiled liberals after the death of Ferdinand VII. But paradoxes of life, these days when the Government's inauguration is underway, people can't stop talking about this crossroads, reports Telemadrid.
To make matters worse, under the Amnesty street sign there is a plaque that says Fire Insurance Company; while on the same corner there is a traffic sign indicating no entry.
Some citizens had already noticed the names of the two streets and their proximity, but the former Catalan independence leader Carod-Rovira published the photo on social networks with the phrase. "Things of life", which has led to it having greater impact and many comments among citizens.
