It involves the acquisition of 124 homes that will expand the Generalitat's public park and whose cost amounts to 16.4 million euros without VAT (18.4 million after taxes). As soon as the acting vice president stamped the signature on the resolution, the affected families were informed that they breathed a sigh of relief.
According to the information that the Ministry of Housing transferred yesterday to La Vanguardia, with the acquisition of the building up to 79 families (at the beginning of the file there were 114 affected) will avoid a "massive eviction". The same sources point out that it has not been a simple process and that the procedures for the file have taken longer than necessary - the electoral calendar has not helped either - to the point that the purchase has been saved at the final whistle of the legislature.
In fact, less than a week ago, the real estate developer Grupo Ática accused the Ministry of Housing of having breached the commitment reached for the purchase of the building, while reminding it that the lease agreement signed at its home ended on September 4. day by tenants. In a complaint presented to the Ombudsman, the real estate company denounced the breach of the promises made in the media and before the tenants by the Minister Hèctor Illueca (Unides Podem). Finally, the purchase, not without difficulty, could have been carried out before the transfer of powers.
