A driver has been intercepted driving through Santander without a license after leaving a gas station without paying. In addition, he tested positive for cocaine and two knives and a gun with a ferrule were seized. The 40-year-old man gave false information when he was identified by the agents and threw the complaint to the ground. The car had an expired MOT.

These events occurred around twelve noon on Thursday on Julio Jaurena Street, after the Local Police intercepted the motorist leaving a refueling station in the El Alisal area without having paid for gasoline.

The officers asked him for his documentation and verified that he lacked a driving license, as it was confirmed that he had already completed it and had lost its validity for more than two years, dictated by the Criminal Court number 2 of Gijón, without him having recovered the permit. Thus, they initiated judicial proceedings for an alleged crime against road safety.

During the intervention, he was tested for psychotropic and/or narcotic substances, and he tested positive for cocaine, so an administrative file was initiated.

In turn, two knives and a gun with a ferrule were seized from him, and he was reported for lack of respect and consideration towards an agent of the authority and for providing false information for his identification.

Finally, he was also reported for throwing copies of the complaint bulletins onto public roads, as well as the vehicle, which had an expired MOT, and which was removed by a crane to the Ojaiz Depot.
