Lake Banyoles is always a magical place. Reflections in the water, the fishing boats, the boats and a charming landscape that hypnotizes us. Day the same when you visit, it is never the same. It is a true therapy for sight and all the senses.
This series of photographs in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos are a reflection of this Banyoles therapy, that calm that the pond transmits to us with its reflections and its stillness.
Among the elements we can appreciate the existing fisheries and their reflections, always photogenic on the calm waters of the lake. These small houses date back to the 19th and 20th centuries and are located on the eastern shore of the pond. They are constructions, all of them unique. Each one has its personal charm.
Banyoles Lake is located in the Pla de l'Estany region. The pond attracts due to the beauty of the environment and the ease of its excursions, which are ideal for families or people with reduced mobility.
As you leave the busiest part of the lake you reach Desmais, a leafy area of non-native trees. In addition, you can see various fountains and the first viewpoints of the lake.
On the other bank, you can walk through the church of Santa Maria de Porqueres, which is Romanesque in style, and after passing a stretch next to the road, you can head back towards the lake to visit the different viewpoints.
