The left-wing organization, currently in opposition to the Badalona City Council (Barcelonès Nord), proposes the creation of a body specialized in road safety in school environments, with uniforms and connected to the Road Safety Unit of the Urban Guard.
The municipalists affirm that the involvement of the City Council, the management of schools and families are key to advancing in a safe and pollution-free school environment. Among the proposals are those to maintain temporary traffic closures at the entrance and exit of the school; street pacification; improvement of the network of school roads; impulse of a bicibus; creation of "kiss-and-goodbye" areas, children's play spaces near schools, shadows in the environment, on paths and in playgrounds.
To deploy these measures, in Guanyem's opinion, according to the formation, a body of its own should be created for the safety of school environments, in permanent communication with the Road Safety Unit of the Urban Guard. They consider that the municipal government "hides behind good words, good intentions, and promises, but does not execute" the necessary actions, many of which are already agreed upon and included in the Municipal Budget approved before the summer.
