Girona continues to make history and remains undefeated in this spectacular start to the League. The victim, on this occasion, was Javier Aguirre's Mallorca, succumbing to the incredible moment of form of the people from Girona after losing 5-3, despite starting out winning. And the locals had to change an initial goal by Muriqi to a penalty to end up adding three more points thanks to the goals of David López, Dovbyk also from a penalty, Iván Martín, Yangel Herrera and Savinho. A double from Abdon, with the game decided, made up the result for a Mallorca that at half-time was already losing 4-1 after a first half by Girona that was even more excellent and effective than the one they did on Monday in Granada.
And it seemed like the game was going uphill when Tsygankov committed a penalty for some innocent hands inside the area just as it began. Muriqi, from eleven meters, did not forgive and put the visitors ahead. An advantage, however, that only lasted 20 minutes and was completely anecdotal. Because the Mallorcan goal, if it was of any use, was for Girona to launch even more into the attack and completely close down Javier Aguirre's men inside the area, even more than what was already foreseeable.

And if that was not enough, Savinho, perhaps until then a little less participatory than usual, completed a great personal move on the left wing so that Iván Martín, with a touch of his spur reaching the near post, scored the third. Girona liked each other and in the middle of the scoring festival, still before the break, the fourth arrived thanks to a tight shot by Yangel Herrera, who collected a rejection from the Mallorcan defense after another great combination play by the locals. Already at the restart and with calmer spirits, the tone remained the same and Girona, far from being satisfied with the result, continued looking for the rival goal until Savinho did his thing again, beating Rajkovic with an almost insulting authority after a wall with Dovbyk.
In the last minutes and after the two teams had moved their benches, Abdon, with two goals, made up the result for the Mallorcan players, first taking advantage of a tangle inside the Girona area and then with a header after a corner .
