Gallardo says that trivializing sex causes depopulation and Mañueco stands out

The president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco (PP), has distanced himself from his vice president, Juan García-Gallardo (Vox) when last Saturday in Zamora he attributed "hypersexualization" to the trivialization of sex, according to his expression, the "latent depopulation" in territories such as the Castilian-Leon.

Speaking to journalists before participating in Burgos in the act to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the commissioning of the Burgos University Hospital (HUBU), Fernández Mañueco maintained that we must "get used to in this country that the coalition governments are based on different political forces".

He has clarified that these forces may have "different approaches, as is the case", and that "they may make different political reflections".

García-Gallardo affirmed on Saturday that this hypersexualization "does a disservice" to the demographic problem because "the trivialization of sex makes it an end in itself, forgetting that its purpose is procreation" and makes "dedicate the existence to satisfy their sexual desires", instead of the family.

Fernández Mañueco has assured that he does not know these statements in detail, although he has advanced that he will ask the Vice President of the Board to explain "what he was looking for or what he intended with those reflections."

On whether he agrees that sex should be for procreation, as García-Gallardo pointed out, Fernández Mañueco has argued that "everything has been said" with his own life story and the path of the PP.

Juan García-Gallardo assured on Saturday that the demographic winter "has done a disservice to this hypersexualization of society, this trivialization of sex, this conversion of sex into an act of consumption because it has become an end in itself."

"When it is forgotten that the main purpose of sex is procreation, there are people who free themselves from the chains of family and marriage to dedicate their existence to satisfying their sexual desires," he insisted.

Among other causes that he considers influential in the problem of depopulation, he also referred to the "infantilization of society, with eternal adolescents and capricious men and women who do not want to assume the implicit and immediate burdens of having a child."

To this he added the "culture of death", mainly due to abortion, but also due to euthanasia. Regarding abortion, he pointed to the "joy of the people who have made a determined commitment to life", after the Supreme Court of the United States has repealed this right.

Among the economic causes of the demographic crisis, he pointed to the state of autonomies, "in which there are regions that are more loyal to the nation than others and that loyalty is punished for the benefit of those governed by separatists."
