Starting today, Renfe users can purchase free Rodalies and regional passes to travel between May 1 and August 31.
The recurring subscriptions will have new features, and in this new period they will be sold with TSC support (contactless card), eliminating the magnetic stripe.
To make the purchase more agile and avoid waiting, passes can be obtained through the Cercanías Renfe app while for Media Distancia and Avant tickets through the website, as long as the user is previously registered.
In the purchase process, a deposit of 10 euros will be paid in the case of Rodalies and 20 euros for the Regional service. The deposit will be returned if the 16 planned trips are completed.
In the case of Avant, which connect Figueres Vilafant-Girona and Barcelona, and on the Lleida-Camp de Tarragona-Barcelona routes, the 50% discount will be maintained.
