Feijóo distances the possibility of agreement with Sánchez after the motion of censure in Pamplona

Alberto Núñez Feijóo distances the possibility of reaching agreements with Pedro Sánchez, after the announcement of the motion of censure in Pamplona, to give the mayoralty of the Navarrese capital to Bildu. In an event at the Spanish theater organized by 20minutos and the Heraldo de Aragón, during the presentation of a conference by the Aragonese president, Jorge Azcón, the president of the PP showed his discomfort because the socialists are going to take the mayor's office of Pamplona from UPN, to give it to Bildu.

"If the possibilities of understanding were not many, from today they are much less," said the president of the PP. Feijóo did not go further. He did not say that he is not going to meet with Pedro Sánchez, or that he is not willing to dialogue and reach agreements, but he sets his conditions, just as, he stressed, the PSOE partners have set them.

"ERC, PNV Sumar, BNG, Bildu and Junts put a price on their vote to make Pedro Sánchez president, who already knows what his votes are worth," said Feijóo, because "what those of the PP are worth for the issues he now raises , too. His partners don't give him a discount, neither do I." The only difference between his partners and him, the popular leader stressed, "are the conditions of that responsible majority", that is, his, which are "the unity of our country and the unity of the nation, the equality of the Spanish and the prestige of the institutions".

Alberto Núñez Feijóo told Sánchez that "when the president is willing to speak in these terms, normality will be possible, but due to the path chosen by the President of the Government, it may be impossible."

Alberto Núñez Feijóo has been asking Sánchez for weeks, every time he can, to reveal the content of the "hooded pact" by which Bildu gave its support to the investiture of the already president of the Government, and the news of the agreement between the PSOE and Bildu to Evicting UPN from the Pamplona mayor's office and giving it to Bildu represents, in the opinion of the president of the PP, the confirmation that there were hidden issues in that agreement.

In the corridors of Congress, and before going up to the seat of the UPN deputy to offer himself to him in everything that the Union of the Navarrese People needs, Feijóo stressed, when asked about the motion of censure in Pamplona that "we are getting to know the content of the hooded pact between Sánchez's party and Bildu".

An agreement that, for the popular leader, demonstrates "the moral character of Sánchez and his party", in addition to confirming that "they have once again lied to the citizens of Pamplona and Navarra" but also to all Spaniards. "They have lied to us again."

The president of the PP considers that "it is outrageous that the PSOE hand over the mayorship of Pamplona to a party that has murderers on its electoral lists." Feijóo also considers it embarrassing. "No one deserves it, but this way we are learning the price that the President of the Government has paid to be president and his moral character."

For this reason, Feijóo warns that although there is a lot of talk about amnesty, "it is not only the amnesty" that the Socialist Party has agreed with the independentists; nor "breaking the principle of equality", is also, he stressed, "giving the heir party of ETA what it has not achieved at the polls."

The president of the PP predicted that the mayor of Pamplona "probably will not be the entire payment" and the Spaniards will find themselves with other payments, because "he has made scandal a way of life." Feijóo considers it serious that "the day after the amnesty he announces the motion of censure", a product, he said, of the fact that "Otegi has demanded a motion and Sánchez has accepted it."

After the motion, the popular leader considers that Sánchez "has chosen a side", he too, and has decided "to be accompanied by the responsible majority of Spaniards", because, he assured, "I will never be on the side of those who had murderers on their lists." municipal elections".

Alberto Núñez Feijóo highlighted the difference between Sánchez and him. "The PSOE is the one who is going to give Pamplona to Bildu; I took the mayor of Vitoria from Bildu to give it to the PSOE, and I am proud of it, that is why I cannot be next to the president of the Government while he is with those who do business with the weakest and least principled government in 45 years of democracy.
