Feijóo defends lowering taxes on family businesses

The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, today repeated the scheme that he used last year in the family business Congress and opted from Bilbao for lower taxes. In the 12 months that have passed since Feijóo participated as president of the PP in the annual meeting of the IEF (Institute of Family Business), the Government has approved the tax on large fortunes.

The president of the PP has insisted that we should opt for "contained taxes" because - in his opinion - lowering taxation ends up increasing revenue. "In Spain 40 tax figures have increased," he said.

Feijóo's intervention was preceded by a few words from José Luis Blanco, general director of IEF, who after thanking the king for participating annually, explained that they always offer the parties to explain their proposals.

During his speech, Feijóo recalled that the communities governed by the PP have reduced taxes worth 2,000 million euros. They are the reduction of Personal Income Tax, Inheritance and Assets.

Regarding the Next Generation European funds, the president of the PP was very critical of the Government because he believes that the distribution of resources is not publicized. Feijóo has agreed with Lehendakari Iñigo Urkullu on the need to territorialize the management of European funds.

The president of the PP has reviewed the Spanish economic situation, which he considered to be very negative. He highlighted that the business confidence index "has collapsed." Regarding the labor market, he explained that "when we have double the unemployment rate in the EU, we are the first country in youth unemployment and the second country in female unemployment, I don't think that can present a poster in which we feel proud."
