Feijóo calls for an absolute majority of the PP so that Valencia "complies with the constitutional pact again"

The national president of the PP, Alberto Nuñez Feijóo, has demanded this Sunday from María José Catalá and Carlos Mazón an “absolutely indisputable” majority so that Valencia and the Valencian Community “return to comply with the constitutional pact”. The popular leader has highlighted that the PP has set up the intermunicipal in Valencia to support this city and region and has wanted to put pressure on the hosts, as a coach would do before starting a league, he has pointed out.

Along these lines, he has admitted that if the PP returns to govern in the Valencian Community, the challenge of reaching the Presidency of the Government will be "easier to achieve". A victory that, he has stressed, must be achieved with a resounding majority. Feijóo has indicated that the Valencian Community cannot be "the second course of the interests of sanchismo" nor "a satellite of the independentistas" or the testing ground for populism. The president of the PP has indicated that the Valencian Community has to be a "beacon of modernity and good management.” “We need you in Constitutional Spain”.

All this, in a speech where he has not spoken of the new financing model, one of the historical demands of the Valencian people. Yes, he has left a phrase that he has raised to the public when they have promised "water for all Spaniards." Minutes before, the president leader of the PP of the Valencian Community, Carlos Mazón, without mentioning the word transfer, has demanded "the water that we have justified, that corresponds to us" and has requested, in the line that former president José María Aznar made yesterday , a national water project.

In a speech in which he sought closeness and interaction with the public - "a stream of optimism and vitality", in the words of Feijóo -, he regretted that there is no fight for better financing, he has censured "the worst budgets in history ” and has raised the tone to say: “That's all right, rise up [let's get up]”, while claiming “Valencian pride” and “pride of offering noves glòries to Spain”.

Likewise, he has shown his hope of being able to go to the Valencian Community with Feijóo to say: "We already have the financing system that we deserve for our public services." Mazón has promised a retroactive tax revolution and has emphasized improving public services such as education and health. He has also outlined proposals on low-income and youth housing.

For her part, the PP candidate for mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá, has stated that her “only determination is to win and govern”. The popular leader has once again recalled the figure of the former mayoress of Valencia Rita Barberá. Catalá has highlighted her legacy left in the city: “A mayoress who had a devotion to Valencia and an absolute passion for municipalism. Not only do we feel pride and respect for her legacy, but we are the only ones who value her legacy and everything she did for this city. Since Rita, nothing happens in Valencia”.

Thus, he has promised that "2023 will not pass without Rita being named honorary mayor of this city and the bridge of flowers bears her name."
