Father Ángel's plan for someone to collect Carmen Sevilla's ashes

The legendary artist Carmen Sevilla, who died on June 27, continues to make people talk. Surprisingly, and according to the ABC newspaper, part of her ashes are still in the Pozuelo Municipal Mortuary. News that has left many perplexed, taking into account the artist's desire to keep her farewell in the most absolute privacy.

The significance of this discovery lies not only in the fact that his remains have not yet been collected, but in the general ignorance of this situation. Except for his son, Augusto Algueró, neither close friends nor family knew the location of the ashes.

A niece of Carmen Sevilla, Elena, has revealed how they found out about the whereabouts of the remains. When they wanted a reliquary with part of the ashes, they found that the main urn, which contained most of it, was still in the funeral home. Augustus himself, to date, has chosen to remain silent, avoiding making statements on the matter. However, Rappel, very close to the family, has assured that Algueró wants to divide the cenias into three and distribute them in several cities.

The information about the ashes of Seville has not only unleashed surprise, but also proposals and messages of solidarity. Father Ángel, upon learning of this situation, has presented Europa Press with a worthy alternative for the artist's mortal remains.

In this sense, the parish priest has proposed that, if a suitable place for the ashes was not found, they could be kept in one of the churches under his care: "It would be a privilege to have the ashes of good people and not good people."

Likewise, he has emphasized Algueró's responsibility to care for the legacy of those who are no longer among us, emphasizing that "the dead cannot love, but the living can continue to love the dead."

Father Ángel, despite this problem, has reiterated the immense affection that the public feels for Carmen Sevilla. "It was a beautiful mass where people cried out, cried and prayed for Carmen Sevilla. She was very devoted to the Virgin, and she is surely where the good people are, which is in heaven, and surely she cares little about these things".
