The Basque Country will be the guest autonomous community of the 25th edition of the International Logistics Fair (SIL), which will take place from June 7 to 9 at Fira de Barcelona. As reported this Friday by the Consorci de la Zona Franca (CZFB), the organizing entity of the event, it will contribute its "knowledge in logistics as a key player in the Atlantic Corridor".
The special delegate of the State in the CZFB, Pere Navarro, expressed that the fact supposes a "strong impulse of quality and sectorial knowledge to the event that, added to the participation of other international congresses, make it the largest meeting point in a single venue of great professionals with decision-making power in southern Europe, Latin America and the Mediterranean”.
The Basque Country will take advantage of the scenario to project itself as "a strategic connection point from Europe to the west of the peninsula", said the Vice-Hendakari and Minister of Labor and Employment, Idoia Mendia.
"The Basque Country is a strategic node that is laying the foundations, through the railway mode, to promote sustainable logistics, an inalienable challenge for advanced societies on which the SIL gives the opportunity to deepen among various agents in the sector", added the Minister of Territorial Planning, Housing and Transport, Iñaki Arriola.
