"The Holy Week that has just ended will be remembered for the rains, which have been abundant in parts of the peninsular Atlantic slope and the Aragonese Pyrenees," according to Del Campo.
Also noteworthy in the south are the accumulated rains these days in Andalusian towns, such as the 478 liters per square meter in Grazalema (Cádiz) or the 274 liters per square meter in Cardeña (Córdoba).
Other notable records have been 267 liters per square meter in Cazalla de la Sierra (Seville), and in Aragón 257 liters per square meter in Panticosa (Huesca).
The rains also reached the Mediterranean these days, although in a "more modest" way, according to Del Campo; In Valencia, 18 liters per square meter were accumulated, 15 liters in Murcia and 5 liters in Alicante.
