Several dozen people have gathered this Monday before the courts of Solsona (Lleida) to request the release of the four detainees accused of preparing acts against the 2023 Cycling Tour, which today passes through Solsonès.

Last Saturday the National Police arrested these four people on suspicion that they were preparing acts against the Vuelta, which today runs through Solsona in the third stage, between Súria (Barcelona) and Arinsal (Andorra).

The four people arrested on Saturday were taken to the Verneda de Barcelona National Police station, where they have spent the last two nights, until this Monday they were handed over to the Solsona court.

Pro-independence groups have called a rally at 10:00 a.m. this Monday before the courts of Solsona, in the Plaza Major of this town, to demand the release of the detainees and show their support for the relatives.

The demonstrators have exhibited a large banner under the motto 'Freedom detained' and several pro-independence flags.

Also this afternoon, at 8:00 p.m., another rally was called in the Plaza Major de Vic (Barcelona) in support of the four people arrested.
